Motorola DM1400
The DM1400D is the entry level mobile unit. The DM1400 range builds on the previous GM340, GM350 and GM100 radio ranges replacement full range of features; with high performance integrated voice and data which lets you communicate without wires. This model like the DP1400D is capable of both analogue and digital, these units are usually used for vehicles and can be used for simple control/desk top stations. Featuring a high-power audio amplifier, these radios deliver loud, clear speech, with background noise cancellation for better intelligibility.
The DM1400D series features a simply and uncluttered user interface with two programmable front panel buttons (P1) & (P2). This model supports emergency calling (panic button via P1 or P2 and a timed watchdog) lone worker feature. Once an emergency is initiated you can be sure that help is on its way. The radio is tested to military standards and tested to IP54.
DM1400 Series radios are ideal for simple vehicle usage with a range of installation accessories that can cater for most situations. They have also been used in simple rebroadcast (REBRO) configurations and form part of simple 3rd party interfaces (using Tx audio, Rx Audio, PTT and CSQ Detect applications).
Analogue/Digital
Get all the benefits of digital, including better voice quality and better operational range – but retain compatibility with your existing radio fleet while giving yourself the freedom to migrate to the latest technology at your own pace, this assumes the digital version is purchased, an upgrade license (to digital) is available for the analogue version.
Automatic Gain Control
This feature can automatically compensate for changes in voice level, whether you are speaking softly or loudly, turning your head, or moving the microphone further away from your mouth.
Transmit Interrupt Capability
Enables a supervisor to interrupt a DM1400 user to deliver live critical communications exactly when and where it’s needed.
Encrypted Communications
Keep your communications from being intercepted and your channels secure with 16-bit encryption, other enhancements are also available using Digital Privacy and RAS (Restricted Access to System).
Lone Worker
DM1400 can help protect those working on their own by regularly prompting the user to press a button on the radio. If the user does not respond within a specified length of time, a supervisor or dispatcher is notified that there may be a problem. A dedicated emergency channel can be utilised with radios automatically selecting this channel during an emergency call.

Voice Announcements
DM1400 can be configured to have voice announcements; channel selection and other functions can have standard or custom voice announcements. E.g. Channel one could now be announced as “Operations Channel” with channel two being “Emergency Channel”, great for users who have poor vision or the environmental condition are poor (night time etc.). This feature also enables the radio unit to remain in the case or clipped to a belt during channel selection.
